Lihi Nagler is a film scholar and curator. She holds a Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University and completed postdoctoral research as a fellow and visiting scholar at Harvard University and the Max Planck Gesellschaft–Minerva Foundation. With almost three decades of experience, Lihi has taught and mentored students in Israel, Germany, and the USA. She is the founder and director of the non-profit German organization, "Jewish Moving Pictures e.V.", which organizes since 2021 unique film events focused on diverse Jewish topics. She also served as the Program Director of the Warsaw Jewish Film Festival for several years until 2024. Additionally, she is a "matchmaker" for The German-Israeli Future Forum Foundation and a team member at the Maimonides Jewish-Muslim Bildungswerk. Her publications include articles and book chapters in various journals and books.
is a theatre and film director whose work focuses on biographical and documentary storytelling. She studied Theatre Directing in Tel Aviv, Film Directing at filmArche Berlin, and Theatre Pedagogy at the Berlin University of the Arts. In 2015, she co founded VorOrtung – Contemporary Art and Culture in Context, an interdisciplinary association dedicated to socially engaged artistic practices. Within this framework, she developed and directed numerous projects addressing urgent political and social questions. Her artistic work frequently explores the intersections of art, politics, and lived experience. Her film Hase und Katze stehlen mir die Show screened at international festivals. In 2023, her stage production Kiss & Tell premiered at Kantine am Berghain. This was followed in 2025 by her theatrical adaptation of the graphic novel Die Farbe der Erinnerung at Theater Strahl. Since October 7, 2023, Sharon has increasingly dedicated her practice to artistic formats that confront antisemitism and give voice to affected communities. With the staged reading Auch wenn es dunkel ist – Berichte vom 7. Oktober, she brought the testimonies of survivors and relatives to stages across Germany. Together with playwright Dirk Laucke, she developed an audio drama of the same title for "Berlin Radio Station“ in 2025, which was subsequently named Hörspiel des Monats. Sharon works across theatre, film, and participatory formats, often in collaboration with artists, communities, and institutions in Germany and Israel. She is committed to creating spaces for dialogue, remembrance, and responsible artistic engagement with contemporary realities.
