Germany and Israel share a deep and complex past. In a time of rising antisemitism and growing polarisation, the stories we choose to tell have never been more important. Future Narrative Fund empowers professionals from both industries to develop ambitious, high-quality film, TV, and theatre projects that are artistically competitive – and, through that excellence, also build empathy, challenge prejudice, and strengthen the cultural bridge between our industries and societies. The initiative supports them by connecting and reinforcing networks, fostering collaboration, and helping them navigate today’s creative and structural industry challenges.
Goals
The FutureNARRATIVE Association supports bold, collaborative storytelling that:
Combat Antisemitism
Provide a platform for authentic narratives that build understanding and counter harmful stereotypes.
Foster High-Impact Co-Productions
Create opportunities for collaboration between established and emerging talents from Germany and Israel.
Support Independent Creators:
Fund filmmakers and theater artists whose voices are marginalized by traditional German funding bodies, ensuring their perspectives are heard.
Develop a Sustainable Network
Build an ecosystem of filmmakers, producers, and cultural institutions to sustain long-term German-Israeli cultural collaborations.
